Senior Frontend Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to own the end-to-end checkout experience for our product. This role sits at the intersection of engineering excellence and user experience, where your work will directly impact revenue and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with design, product, and backend teams to deliver performant, accessible, and delightful interfaces that scale with our growing user base.

What you'll do

• Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance React and TypeScript applications that power our checkout flow.
• Drive technical decisions for frontend architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Mentor two junior engineers, providing code reviews, pairing sessions, and guidance on best practices.
• Partner with design and product teams to translate user experience requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize frontend performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility to deliver a seamless user experience.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code adhering to engineering standards.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs, handle edge cases, and ensure data consistency.
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-functional alignment meetings.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience with a strong focus on React and TypeScript.
• Proven track record of shipping production-grade applications with measurable impact on user experience or business metrics.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.
• Familiarity with modern frontend tooling (e.g., Next.js, Vite, Webpack) and state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand).
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

Nice to have

• Experience with e-commerce or checkout flow development.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques (e.g., lazy loading, code splitting, bundle analysis).
• Exposure to testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
• Understanding of accessibility (a11y) best practices and WCAG guidelines.
• Experience with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook, Tailwind CSS).
